The LAN generally begins Friday night and ends Sunday late afternoon. The LAN has a “shutdown” period between 4-11 in the morning each night where everyone must leave and only security and BoiseLAN staff have access to the building. The 4-11 shutdown period may be adjusted on a per LAN basis and those changes will be communicated out.
The shutdown period is so staff can get rest. We have run 24/7 over a weekend and had only a few make it all night. If enough people can stay the entire night we may consider extending the hours.
Hardware curfew begins at midnight and goes until the LAN opens the next day. Hardware curfew means nothing moves in or out of the building except for laptops. Please take your laptops home with you overnight!
